Upfronts 2014: ABC’s Black-ish (First Look) (Updated)

WHO: Anthony Anderson (Guys With Kids), Tracee Ellis Ross (Girlfriends), Yara Shahidi (Scandal), recurring star Laurence Fishburne (Hannibal)

WHAT: An upper-middle class black man struggles to raise his children with a sense of cultural identity despite constant contradictions and obstacles coming from his liberal wife, old-school father and his own assimilated, color-blind kids.

WHEN: Wednesdays at 9:30PM EST

WHERE: ABC

BOTTOM LINE: ABC put together a better teaser. Here’s the updated version… I love Ross and am happy to see her getting work. Anderson is annoying, but always has been. It could do well bridging the gap between Modern Family and Nashville, but I don’t know… just depends on how Cosby-ish they decide to go. It actually looks quite funny.
