Okay… I have a confession… I am such a TV snob… anyone who follows, knows.. BUT… I have a guilty pleasure and it’s called Hart of Dixie. No judging. I love a good fish out of water story… and The CW has crafted quite an enticing version of one with Rachel Bilson, Cress Williams, Jaime King and Wilson Bethel, et al. Set in the fictional town of Bluebell, Alabama (side note: Bluebell Ice Cream – a Southern tradition – is amazing), the series has done a fine job of carving out a detailed small town setting, full of colorful – but not too colorful (Northern Exposure, Twin Peaks) – local folks that make you keep coming back for more.

So, I literally just cheered when I heard The CW renewed the series for a fourth season. Yay. They also renewed Beauty and the Beast and The 100, another show that I am rooting for. It’s a little smarter than your average show from the network, but still is populated with plenty of pretty young things.

New series include: Arrow spin-off, Flash, iZombie, Jane the Virgin and The Messengers.

Canceled series include: The Carrie Diaries, The Tomorrow People and Star-Crossed.
