Bullock, Clooney & THE THING Defy Gravity

May 10, 2013

I am not a fan of movies set in space. In fact, I’m not really a fan of space. I went to the NASA Space Camp in Huntsville, Alabama when I was a kid. Ummm… I remember the rocket ship-shaped fries. That’s about the extent of it. But, this morning when I opened my email, there was a link to the trailer for the new George Clooney/Sandra Bullock film Gravity. I watched it and was… honestly, taken aback. I felt my heart in my throat when THE THING happens. Knowing nothing of it, I went in completely unprepared. All I knew was that Alfonso Cuarón is the director. So… either press play and realize the drama or don’t and be surprised in October when the film comes out (if you can resist hearing about it – the studio has no problem telling what THE THING is). To be fair, THE THING is the whole concept of the film, but watching Bullock – a beloved actress we feel is one of our friends – go through it…

Oh, and please all other studios, take note: THIS is how you tease an upcoming film.
