Cannes 2012: The We and the I

May 16, 2012

More Dave Chappell’s Block Party than Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, French director Michel Gondry‘s latest film, The We and the I, debuts at the Cannes Film Festival on Thursday. Following a group of Bronx high school students on their last bus ride home of the school year, the film appears much more subdued than Gondry’s work with Bjork, Daft Punk, The Chemical Brothers, etc.

I, for one, am looking forward to seeing it, although I can assume I could just hop on the bus and see it first-hand one day next week. Here’s the trailer.
