NBC Keeps Community

The day just gets better: after renewing 30 Rock and Parenthood this afternoon, NBC added Community to the growing list of worth-while shows coming back for new, albeit shortened, seasons next fall. And we’ll take it. After being unceremoniously removed from the schedule earlier this year, the show has been on an upswing lately, generating slightly higher ratings and  solidifying their fanbase.

Community is scheduled for 13 episodes, but could get a “back nine” order of 9 additional episodes, much like a first-season series, should the numbers be good enough. Which means, next season is not necessarily the last for the Glendale Seven, although community college typically doesn’t last that long.
