News about The Game‘s impending return to television, complete with promos and behind-the-scenes interviews can be found here.

****** ****** ******

Apparently BET has decided to take my advice and pick up a fourth season of The Game, the

the cast of The Game

Mara Brock Akil-produced sitcom that was spun off of the unceremoniously dumped by those bastards at the CW one of my all-time favorites, Girlfriends. According to reports all over the web, the deal is done with the exception of resigning the core cast to new contracts, which expired over the summer.

The new episodes will be shot in Atlanta, starting this May. No word on the number of episodes, but cable shows tend to run shorter seasons than the regular 24-episode seasons of broadcast networks.

Tia Mowry, Pooch Hall, Wendy Raquel Robinson, Hosea Chanchez and Brittany Daniel will all be back, and Coby Bell will be back on a recurring basis (he recently signed on to USA’s Burn Notice as well).

Reports are that the show will have the same production values, which in turn means that than the cast will be able to maintain their salaries. After the treatment they received from The CW, this was important news to hear.

I will keep you posted when I hear more.
