Weeds Renewed for Eighth Season

The TV Gods just iced my cake. I was already happy to hear that the great Dale Dickey will be added to True Blood next season when word came that Nancy Botwin (Mary-Louise Parker)  will rise again. Showtime just renewed the drug-addicted dramedy for a 13-episode eighth season. There was no word about this being the finale season, as many have speculated. Actually, to get technical, the seventh season finale could easily have served as the series finale and fans wondered if we would get final closure with Nancy and Co. It looks like we will. Fingers crossed that Elizabeth Perkins‘ Celia returns! Although, don’t expect Romany Malco (Conrad) to appear. He’s moved on. Accept it.
