What happens when TV executives marry The Sopranos to The Tudors? You get The Borgias, naturally. Showtime‘s latest big-budget historical romp follows the lives of yet another real-life family. This time, it’s Italy’s Borgias family, known for their forays into adultery, theft, bribery, rape, incest, murder and… installing one Pope Alexander VI.

 

Starring Jeremy Irons as Tony Soprano the head of the family, the series promises to hold your attention from the very first minute of the first episode. I am looking forward.
