What is The Event?
UPDATE (05/12/11): NBC cancels The Event. My thoughts.
When the trailer first premiered during upfronts last May, I said that NBC‘s The Event looked like 24 without the timeclock. As more details have emerged – and the show debuts tonight – I am anxious to watch. It is my most-anticipated new show this fall. With elements of the dearly departed 24, mythology akin to the best TV show ever aired, LOST and a cast with names like Laura Innes, Blair Underwood and Željko Ivanek (one of the best character actors working today), my expectations are high. Only time will tell if The Event will be a beautiful success, like Fringe, or a blundering disaster, like FlashForward.
UPDATE – 10/21/10 – It’s iight. And that’s about it. I watch up, but have found No Ordinary Family much better.
Series premiere was good. That’s all for now.
I heard that episodes 2 and 3 are actually much better than the pilot. we will see….
